Wrocław at night is a different city. The Market Square, the Cathedral Island, the new developments along the Oder each of these places has a narrow time window after sunset when the light is balanced and the city looks its best.
This is a personal project a documentation of Wrocław’s architecture at night, carried out over several visits. The city where I studied architecture. I know it well enough to know where to arrive and when.
Night photography the 35-minute window
Around 35 minutes after sunset the sky is deep blue, the city lights are on, and the exposure between the illuminated buildings and the sky is balanced. Before that window too bright. After too dark. I plan every night session around that window.
